Job Description

At Trimble, we are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Perception Data Engineer to join our fast-paced team. As a Perception Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining data collection and storage processes related to computer vision, robotics, and machine learning. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, an interest in computer vision, robotics, and machine learning, and experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB. A successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and be able to collaborate effectively with a team of engineers and scientists. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field • At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering or related field • Proven experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB• Knowledge of computer vision, robotics, and machine learning principles • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills If this role sounds like a good match for your skills and experience, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, improve, and maintain data collection and storage processes related to computer vision, robotics, and machine learning.
  2. Utilize programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB to develop and maintain data collection and storage processes.
  3. Work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Collaborate effectively with a team of engineers and scientists.
  5. Monitor and maintain the accuracy of data collected.
  6. Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  7. Analyze and understand complex data sets.
  8. Document and report findings.
  9. Create technical documentation for data collection and storage processes.
  10. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in computer vision, robotics, and machine learning.
