  1. Process Payroll: The primary responsibility of the Payroll Specialist will be to accurately and efficiently process payroll on a regular basis. This will involve calculating employee hours, wages, and deductions, and ensuring all data is entered correctly into the payroll system.
  2. Compliance with Regulations: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for staying up-to-date on all payroll regulations and laws, and ensuring that all payroll processes are in compliance with these regulations. This may include state and federal tax laws, labor laws, and company policies.
  3. Data Management: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and organized payroll data for all employees. This may include entering new employee information, updating employee records, and managing time off requests and other changes to employee status.
  4. Problem Solving: In this role, the Payroll Specialist will be expected to troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to payroll. This may involve working with other departments, such as HR or Finance, to gather information and find solutions.
  5. Communication: The Payroll Specialist will need to effectively communicate with employees, managers, and other team members regarding payroll-related inquiries and issues. This may include providing guidance on payroll processes, explaining pay stubs or deductions, and addressing any concerns or questions.
  6. Auditing: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for regularly auditing payroll records to ensure accuracy and identify any potential errors or discrepancies. They will also assist with year-end audits and reporting as needed.
  7. Reporting: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for generating and distributing payroll reports as needed. This may include payroll summaries, tax reports, and other payroll-related data for management or external agencies.
  8. Training: The Payroll Specialist may be responsible for training new team members on payroll processes and systems, as well as providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing.
  9. Process Improvement: The Payroll Specialist will be expected to continuously review and improve existing payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Payroll Processing, Preferably In A Large Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Payroll Laws And Regulations.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With High Attention To Detail.

  • Proficiency In Payroll Software And Excel.
