GNC Engineer - State Estimation

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing innovative solutions in the areas of Guidance, Navigation, and Control with an emphasis on state estimation. This position requires a motivated self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of experience in the development and implementation of state estimation algorithms. Extensive experience with Kalman filtering, and a deep understanding of linear algebra, Kalman filtering, and system modeling are also highly desirable. In addition, you must be comfortable working with a variety of technologies, such as C/C++, MATLAB, and Simulink. Responsibilities:

1. Develop innovative solutions in the areas of Guidance, Navigation, and Control with an emphasis on state estimation.
2. Develop and implement state estimation algorithms.
3. Work independently and collaboratively within a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
4. Design, implement, and test system models and Kalman filters.
5. Utilize a variety of technologies, such as C/C++, MATLAB, and Simulink.
6. Troubleshoot and debug any problems with existing algorithms.
7. Analyze data to improve the performance and accuracy of existing algorithms.
8. Perform simulations to identify potential design flaws and recommend improvements.
9. Work closely with other teams to ensure successful integration of the algorithms and systems.
10. Monitor the performance of the algorithms and adjust parameters as necessary.
