
Global Commodity Manager
At Trimble, we are looking for a talented and highly motivated Global Commodity Manager to join our team. This critical position is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the purchasing activities related to a specific commodity or group of commodities. This position requires a combination of strong technical, strategic, and relationship-building skills, as well as a solid understanding of the commodity markets. If you are an experienced professional with an eye for detail and a passion for driving successful purchasing strategies, we want to hear from you!To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, economics, or a related field. Additionally, you should have at least five years of experience working in a purchasing or supply chain management role. You should also possess strong communication and negotiation skills, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and have a demonstrated aptitude for building strong business relationships. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement successful purchasing strategies for a specific commodity or group of commodities.
- Manage the procurement process from supplier selection, pricing, and negotiation through to delivery.
- Monitor and analyze commodity markets to identify potential cost savings opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with suppliers.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics to optimize purchasing activities.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Analyze and report on purchasing activities and trends.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
