Global Commodity Manager

This position requires a combination of strong technical, strategic, and relationship-building skills, as well as a solid understanding of the commodity markets. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement successful purchasing strategies for a specific commodity or group of commodities.
2. Manage the procurement process from supplier selection, pricing, and negotiation through to delivery.
3. Monitor and analyze commodity markets to identify potential cost savings opportunities.
4. Develop and maintain strong business relationships with suppliers.
5. Utilize ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics to optimize purchasing activities.
6. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements.
7. Analyze and report on purchasing activities and trends.
8. Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
9. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers.
10. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
