  1. Manage and oversee the tender management process for Trimble's clients, ensuring timely and efficient execution of all tender activities.
  2. Utilize your expertise in the French market to optimize freight procurement processes and negotiate favorable rates and contracts for our clients.
  3. Conduct thorough analysis of transportation data and market trends to inform procurement decisions and strategies.
  4. Collaborate with various internal departments, including sales and operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of procurement strategies.
  5. Maintain strong relationships with carriers and other vendors, negotiating rates and contracts to achieve cost savings for Trimble's clients.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring all procurement activities are in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  7. Act as a subject matter expert for freight procurement, providing guidance and support to internal teams and clients.
  8. Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement activities, and make adjustments as needed to meet or exceed targets.
  9. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings, and implement new strategies and procedures as necessary.
  10. Actively participate in industry events and conferences to stay informed on the latest trends and developments in transportation and procurement.
  11. Mentor and train junior procurement team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  12. Represent Trimble as a professional and knowledgeable expert in the field of freight procurement, building and maintaining a positive reputation in the industry.

  • Fluency In French: The Ability To Communicate Effectively In French Is Essential For This Role As It Involves Working With French-Speaking Clients And Vendors.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Freight Procurement: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Freight Procurement Process, Including Tender Management, To Effectively Support Trimble's Clients.

  • Experience In Tender Management: Previous Experience In Managing Freight Tenders Is A Must For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Familiar With The Entire Tender Process, From Developing Bidding Documents To Evaluating Bids.

  • Strong Negotiation Skills: As A Freight Procurement Consultant, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Negotiating Contracts And Rates With Carriers. Therefore, Excellent Negotiation Skills Are Crucial For This Role.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Gather And Interpret Data, Identify Trends, And Develop Solutions For Clients' Freight Procurement Needs. This Role Requires The Ability To Think Critically And Find Innovative Solutions To Complex Problems.
