We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Credit and Collections to lead our finance team in managing credit risks and ensuring timely collections.As the Director of Credit and Collections, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing credit policies and procedures, as well as managing a team of credit analysts and collectors. You will work closely with our sales, finance, and legal teams to evaluate creditworthiness, monitor credit limits, and minimize bad debt.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in credit and collections management, preferably in a global organization. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.   1. Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize credit risks and ensure timely collections.
  2. Lead and manage a team of credit analysts and collectors to achieve department goals and objectives.
  3. Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to evaluate creditworthiness of customers and establish appropriate credit limits.
  4. Monitor credit limits and review credit terms to ensure compliance with company policies.
  5. Analyze customer credit data and make recommendations for credit limit adjustments or collections actions.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to facilitate timely collections and resolve credit issues.
  7. Maintain accurate records of customer credit information, collections activity, and bad debt.
  8. Communicate regularly with senior management on the status of credit and collections performance and potential risks.
  9. Develop and implement strategies to reduce bad debt and improve overall collections performance.
  10. Provide guidance and support to the finance team on credit and collections matters.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in credit regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  12. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to team members.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with external credit agencies and legal partners.
  14. Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to improve overall company performance.
  15. Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with customers regarding credit and collections matters.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Credit And Collections Management: A Director In This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In Managing Credit And Collections Functions, Preferably In A B2B Environment. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of Credit Risk Assessment, Setting Credit Limits, And Developing And Implementing Collection Strategies.

  • Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills: The Director Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Credit Analysts And Collectors, Therefore Strong Leadership, Coaching, And Team-Building Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role. Experience In Managing Remote Teams And A Track Record Of Driving Results Through Effective Leadership Is Highly Desirable.

  • Excellent Financial Analysis And Risk Assessment Skills: The Director Must Be Adept At Analyzing Financial Statements, Credit Reports, And Other Relevant Data To Assess The Creditworthiness Of Potential And Existing Customers. They Should Be Able To Identify And Mitigate Potential Credit Risks To Ensure The Company's Cash Flow Is Not Negatively Impacted.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Credit And Collections Regulations: The Director Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Relevant Credit And Collections Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of The Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, And Other Relevant Laws And Regulations In Different Regions Where Trimble Operates.

  • Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills: The Director Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Customers, Sales Teams, And Other Stakeholders To Resolve Credit And Collections Issues. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills To Effectively Handle Difficult Situations And Maintain Positive Relationships With Customers While Ensuring Timely Collections.
