Job Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a TRI-Biorepository Coordinator at TriCore Reference Laboratories.As the TRI-Biorepository Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our biorepository, which houses vital specimens for research and diagnostic purposes. Your responsibilities will include sample inventory management, processing, and retrieval, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. You will work closely with our laboratory teams, research partners, and external clients to provide high-quality, timely services.To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in a scientific field, preferably in biology or a related discipline. Previous experience in a biorepository or laboratory setting is required, along with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.   1. Manage and maintain the biorepository, including inventory management, sample processing, and retrieval.
  2. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and best practices for handling and storing biological samples.
  3. Work closely with laboratory teams, research partners, and external clients to provide high-quality, timely services.
  4. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all samples and their associated data.
  5. Collaborate with the laboratory team to develop and implement standard operating procedures for sample processing and storage.
  6. Train and supervise laboratory staff on proper sample handling and storage procedures.
  7. Monitor and maintain appropriate storage conditions for all samples, including temperature, humidity, and security measures.
  8. Communicate with external clients to coordinate sample shipments and transfers.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to sample processing or storage.
  10. Assist with the development and implementation of quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of stored samples.
  11. Regularly review and update SOPs to ensure compliance with current regulations and industry standards.
  12. Participate in research projects and assist with data analysis as needed.
  13. Maintain a safe and organized work environment in the biorepository.
  14. Keep up-to-date with advancements in biorepository technology and recommend improvements or updates as needed.
  15. Assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Biology, Biotechnology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Biorepository Management Or Biospecimen Handling.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements For Biorepository Operations, Including Hipaa, Clia, And Fda Guidelines.

  • Experience With Laboratory Information Management Systems (Lims) And Electronic Data Management Systems.

  • Strong Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Collaborate With Various Departments.
