Laboratory Scientist Lead

- Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the laboratory, including scheduling and delegating tasks to laboratory staff
- Conduct and analyze complex scientific experiments according to established protocols and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in the laboratory
- Train and mentor laboratory staff on proper techniques and procedures
- Review and interpret test results, and make recommendations for further testing or analysis
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure efficient workflow and communication
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results
- Stay up-to-date with advancements and developments in laboratory techniques and technology
- Lead and participate in research projects and contribute to scientific publications
- Communicate effectively with management and other team members about project updates, concerns, and suggestions for improvement.
Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field: A Laboratory Scientist Lead At Tricore Reference Laboratories Should Possess A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or A Related Field. This Educational Requirement Ensures That The Individual Has A Strong Foundation In Laboratory Practices And Techniques.
Ascp Certification: The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Certification Is Considered The Gold Standard For Laboratory Professionals. As A Laboratory Scientist Lead, This Certification Would Demonstrate The Individual's Knowledge And Expertise In The Field, As Well As Their Commitment To Ongoing Education And Professional Development.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting: In Order To Effectively Lead A Team Of Laboratory Scientists, The Individual Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Laboratory Operations And Procedures. A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting Would Provide The Necessary Hands-On Experience And Knowledge To Successfully Lead A Team.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Laboratory Scientist Lead, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Supervising And Managing A Team Of Laboratory Scientists. Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Delegate Tasks, Provide Feedback, And Foster A Collaborative And Efficient Work Environment.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Regulations And Compliance: Tricore Reference Laboratories Adheres To Strict Regulations And Compliance Standards Set By Governing Bodies Such As Clia And Osha. The Laboratory Scientist Lead Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations And Be Able To Ensure That All Laboratory Operations Are In Compliance.
