- Maintain a thorough understanding of current cytogenetic methodologies, technologies, and best practices to ensure high-quality and efficient testing processes.
- Collaborate with other members of the laboratory team, including pathologists and genetic counselors, to ensure accurate and timely results for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and participate in continuing education to continuously improve skills and knowledge in the field of cytogenetics.

Bachelor's Degree In Genetics Or Related Field: A Clinical Cytogeneticist At Tricore Reference Laboratories Must Possess A Strong Foundation In Genetics And Laboratory Techniques. A Bachelor's Degree In Genetics Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role.
Certification In Clinical Cytogenetics: Tricore Reference Laboratories May Require Their Clinical Cytogeneticists To Hold A Certification In Clinical Cytogenetics From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Board Of Medical Genetics And Genomics (Abmgg).
Experience In Cytogenetic Laboratory Techniques: Candidates For This Role Should Have Hands-On Experience With A Variety Of Cytogenetic Laboratory Techniques, Including Chromosome Analysis, Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (Fish), And Microarray Analysis.
