  1. Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  2. Lead and manage a team of underwriters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and achievement of goals.
  3. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to promote professional development and ensure departmental objectives are met.
  4. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  5. Monitor industry trends and market conditions to adjust underwriting practices and stay ahead of competitors.
  6. Review and assess complex risk exposures and make sound underwriting decisions to mitigate potential losses.
  7. Maintain relationships with external partners, such as brokers and agents, to foster business growth and increase market presence.
  8. Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with company standards.
  9. Participate in industry events and conferences to stay informed about market changes and network with potential clients.
  10. Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold its reputation as a leader in the insurance industry.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Or Related Field.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients And Stakeholders.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Underwriting, Preferably In The Commercial Insurance Industry.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Previous Experience Managing A Team Of Underwriters.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Underwriting Principles, Guidelines, And Best Practices.
