Job Description

As a Risk Engineer at Travelers, you will be a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them anticipate, manage, and protect against risk. You will need strong business acumen and analytical skills to understand the clients' needs, provide customized solutions, and recommend strategies to reduce risks. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident communicator and be passionate about providing exceptional service.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and a minimum of three years of experience in a risk engineering or related field. You should also have knowledge of engineering principles, principles of risk management, and insurance and reinsurance techniques. Strong problem solving and research skills, as well as the ability to analyze data and recommend strategies, are a must. A successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and internal partners.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze client needs and develop customized solutions to reduce risks.
  2. Research risk engineering principles, principles of risk management, and insurance and reinsurance techniques.
  3. Utilize problem solving and analytical skills to recommend strategies to reduce risks.
  4. Maintain strong knowledge of engineering principles and techniques.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients and internal partners.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
  7. Stay current on industry trends and changes.
  8. Develop and implement risk engineering plans and strategies.
  9. Monitor and review risk engineering activities and make recommendations for improvement.
