  1. Evaluate and underwrite commercial insurance policies for small businesses.
  2. Review and analyze insurance applications, risk assessments, and other relevant documents to determine coverage and premiums.
  3. Communicate effectively with agents and brokers to discuss policy terms, negotiate rates, and address any concerns or questions.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes in the market to make informed underwriting decisions.
  5. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and determine appropriate coverage.
  6. Collaborate with other underwriters and team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in underwriting decisions.
  7. Maintain a high level of customer service by providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests from clients.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents, brokers, and other stakeholders to foster trust and loyalty.
  9. Monitor and manage policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulations.
  10. Provide guidance and support to less experienced underwriters and assist with training and development as needed.
  11. Utilize underwriting tools and systems to analyze data and make sound underwriting decisions.
  12. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  13. Continuously strive to improve underwriting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Participate in meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to stay current with industry best practices and advancements.
  15. Maintain accurate and detailed records of underwriting activities and decisions.

Job Qualifications
