Job Description

At Travelers, we are looking for an experienced Medical Provider Appeals Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a solid understanding of the healthcare industry and the reimbursement process as well as the ability to research and analyze complex claims data. They should be highly organized and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be a proactive team leader who is comfortable working independently to resolve disputed claims and drive improved outcomes. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and analyze appealed claims to determine reimbursement eligibility.
  2. Review claims data and reimbursement policies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  3. Collaborate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to resolve disputed claims.
  4. Track and report on key performance indicators to identify areas of improvement.
  5. Develop and implement best practices for resolving disputed claims.
  6. Identify trends in appeals data to inform process improvement initiatives.
  7. Lead appeals initiatives to ensure successful outcomes.
  8. Monitor and maintain appeals documentation in accordance with relevant regulations.
  9. Prepare appeal letters and other correspondence to medical providers and stakeholders.
  10. Provide education and training to medical providers on reimbursement policies.
