At Travelers, we are currently looking for an experienced Loss Control Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with clients to assess their risk management needs, design and implement cost-effective programs to reduce the potential for loss, and audit their programs to ensure they are properly implemented. You will be a key member of our Loss Control Department, working closely with our Underwriters, Account Executives, and other stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service and ensure our clients’ needs are met.To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate who is an organized and detail-oriented self-starter, with a passion for helping people and a commitment to learning and growing. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Loss Control role, preferably within the insurance industry, and a thorough understanding of risk management principles and best practices. A Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field is preferred. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, coworkers, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assess clients’ risk management needs and develop cost-effective programs to reduce potential for loss.
- Audit client programs to ensure they are properly implemented.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of risk management principles and best practices.
- Build strong relationships with clients, coworkers, and other stakeholders.
- Compile reports on clients’ risk management programs.
- Monitor changes in insurance industry regulations and adjust programs accordingly.
- Investigate potential and actual losses and recommend corrective action.
- Develop and deliver presentations on risk management topics.
- Resolve client disputes in a timely and professional manner.
