We’re looking for a General Liability Counsel to join our Travelers team! We are a leading provider of insurance services, and are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join us. In this role, you will provide legal advice to our team on a variety of matters, and help ensure that we are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.To be successful in this role, you should have a law degree and at least five years of experience in a litigation practice. Knowledge of insurance and/or general liability law is essential, and experience in contract review and negotiation is a plus. You should also possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to the Travelers team on a variety of matters
- Ensure that the company is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations
- Review and negotiate contracts
- Maintain knowledge of insurance and/or general liability law
- Possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with the team and understand the company’s objectives
- Provide updates and reports on legal issues and progress on assigned projects
- Represent the company in all legal proceedings
- Stay abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations
- Develop and implement strategies to protect company interests
