- Monitor and analyze cyber security events and incidents to ensure the safety and integrity of Travelers' digital assets.
- Utilize advanced tools and techniques to detect and respond to potential cyber threats in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with other members of the SOC team to investigate and remediate security incidents.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and incident response plans to ensure efficient and effective handling of security incidents.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber security trends and best practices to continuously improve the effectiveness of the SOC.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
- Work closely with other departments and teams to implement security controls and procedures to protect Travelers' systems and data.
- Identify and report on emerging cyber threats, and provide recommendations for proactive measures to mitigate potential risks.
- Participate in incident response exercises and simulations to test the effectiveness of the SOC's processes and procedures.
- Mentor and train junior members of the SOC team to enhance their skills and knowledge in cyber security operations.
Extensive Knowledge Of Cyber Security Principles And Best Practices: The Senior Technologist Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Various Cyber Security Frameworks, Such As Nist, Iso, And Cis, And Be Able To Apply Them Effectively In A Soc Environment.
Experience With Soc Tools And Technologies: The Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With A Variety Of Security Tools And Technologies Commonly Used In A Soc, Including Siem, Ids/Ips, Endpoint Protection, And Vulnerability Assessment Tools.
Strong Analytical Skills: A Soc Senior Technologist Must Be Able To Analyze Complex Security Data And Identify Trends, Patterns, And Anomalies To Detect And Respond To Potential Threats In A Timely Manner.
Leadership And Team Management Abilities: As A Senior Member Of The Soc Team, The Candidate Should Have Proven Experience In Leading And Managing A Team Of Security Analysts And Technicians, Providing Guidance, Mentorship, And Support.
