  1. Assess and analyze financial risks associated with construction projects to determine appropriate levels of surety coverage.
  2. Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant financial information to make informed underwriting decisions.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, agents, and brokers to gather necessary information and ensure quality service.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategic underwriting plans.
  5. Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to inform underwriting decisions.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients, agents, and brokers to explain underwriting decisions and address any questions or concerns.
  7. Monitor and manage a portfolio of surety accounts to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  8. Identify and mitigate potential risks and exposures through thorough analysis and proactive measures.
  9. Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to management and other stakeholders.
  10. Participate in training and development programs to enhance underwriting skills and stay current on industry best practices.
  11. Adhere to company underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  12. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all underwriting decisions and activities.
  13. Work closely with claims and legal teams to manage and resolve any surety claims.
  14. Continuously improve and streamline underwriting processes to increase efficiency and profitability.
  15. Represent the company and its values in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Business Administration, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Surety Underwriting Or Financial Analysis

  • Strong Understanding Of Construction Industry And Surety Bond Products

  • Excellent Analytical And Risk Assessment Skills

  • Professional Certification, Such As Associate In Fidelity And Surety Bonding (Afsb) Or Chartered Financial Analyst (Cfa), Preferred.
