Claims Adjuster

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a claims adjusting role, a college degree in a related field, and be certified as a Claims Adjuster. Responsibilities:

1. Review and process claims in a timely manner while meeting departmental standards and deadlines.
2. Determine the appropriate resolution to customer claims and provide accurate, timely and fair decisions.
3. Investigate and assess claims to determine extent of liability and damages.
4. Contact and correspond with customers, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, medical providers, and other parties to obtain information.
5. Analyze and interpret complex policies and claims documents.
6. Prepare documentation, including claims reports, summaries, and legal pleadings.
7. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
8. Maintain records and databases of claims information.
9. Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with claimants, customers, and other parties.
10. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of current industry practices and procedures.
