Job Description

We at Travelers are looking for a motivated and talented Actuarial Analyst to join our team. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing actuarial services in support of enterprise objectives, including pricing, profitability, and other actuarial analyses. To excel in this role, you should have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of actuarial methods. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.To be successful as an Actuarial Analyst at Travelers, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. A few years of relevant experience in an actuarial capacity is also preferred. You should also possess a strong aptitude for numbers and be comfortable working with large, complex datasets. Additionally, you should have a working knowledge of actuarial software and programming languages such as SAS, R, and Excel.

Responsibilities of an Actuarial Analyst at Travelers:

  1. Provide actuarial services in support of enterprise objectives such as pricing, profitability, and other analyses.
  2. Analyze large, complex datasets and interpret results to identify trends and patterns.
  3. Utilize actuarial software and programming languages such as SAS, R, and Excel to generate data-driven recommendations.
  4. Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure the accuracy of actuarial analysis.
  5. Develop actuarial models and forecasts for pricing and profitability.

  7. Stay up-to-date on new developments in the field and apply best practices to actuarial analyses.
  8. Prepare and present reports to stakeholders.
