Job Description

As an Actuarial Analyst at Travelers, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise to make a meaningful contribution to our organization. Our Analysts are essential to our success in developing and testing models and analytics that help us understand and manage risk and pricing. You will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain actuarial models and analytics that are used for product pricing, reserving, and other actuarial analyses.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field and at least three years of experience in the actuarial field. Candidates with experience in predictive analytics, programming, or other related fields are encouraged to apply. A strong aptitude for quantitative analysis and analytics is required, as well as the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading insurance provider and use your expertise to help make a difference.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain actuarial models and analytics for product pricing, reserving, and other actuarial analyses.
  2. Use quantitative analysis and analytical skills to assess risk and pricing.
  3. Employ predictive analytics, programming, and other related fields to support business objectives.
  4. Communicate complex concepts effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Research and analyze market trends and data to inform pricing strategies.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure that actuarial models are in line with business objectives.
  7. Develop and document procedures for actuarial models and analytics.
  8. Stay up to date with industry best practices and standards.
  9. Monitor and report on performance of models and analytics.
  10. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts.
