Welcome to TransUnion! We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lead Developer to join our team as the API Gateway specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our API Gateway platform, ensuring its functionality, security, and scalability.   1. Design and develop the API Gateway platform to meet business needs and requirements.
  2. Ensure the functionality, security, and scalability of the API Gateway platform.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of developers to deliver high-quality code and meet project deadlines.
  5. Continuously monitor and improve the performance of the API Gateway platform.
  6. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in API development.
  7. Collaborate with other teams to integrate the API Gateway platform with various applications and systems.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise in the API Gateway platform.
  9. Develop and maintain technical documentation for the API Gateway platform.
  10. Communicate project updates, progress, and challenges to project stakeholders.
  11. Drive innovation and propose new ideas to improve the API Gateway platform and processes.
  12. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  13. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  14. Collaborate with product owners to prioritize and plan development tasks.
  15. Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With Api Gateway Technologies: A Lead Developer At Transunion Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Api Gateway Technologies Such As Aws Api Gateway, Apigee, Or Kong. They Should Be Able To Design, Develop, And Maintain Scalable And Secure Api Gateway Solutions.

  • Strong Programming Skills: A Lead Developer Should Have Strong Programming Skills In Languages Like Java, Javascript, Or Python. They Should Be Able To Write Efficient And Maintainable Code For Complex Api Gateway Solutions.

  • Experience With Microservices Architecture: Transunion Follows A Microservices Architecture, And A Lead Developer Should Have A Good Understanding Of It. They Should Be Able To Design And Implement Microservices That Can Be Easily Integrated With The Api Gateway.

  • Knowledge Of Security Best Practices: Api Gateways Are The First Line Of Defense In Securing Apis, And A Lead Developer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Security Best Practices. They Should Be Able To Implement Security Measures Such As Authentication, Authorization, And Encryption To Protect Transunion's Apis.

  • Leadership And Team Management Skills: As A Lead Developer, One Should Have Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills To Oversee The Api Gateway Development Team. They Should Be Able To Mentor And Guide Junior Developers, Delegate Tasks, And Ensure Timely Delivery Of Projects.
