  1. Conduct research on current and proposed policies and legislation that could impact the company and its consumers.
  2. Attend meetings and events with government officials to discuss relevant issues and legislation.
  3. Assist in the development and implementation of advocacy strategies.
  4. Draft written materials, such as letters and position papers, to communicate the company's stance on policy issues.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as legal and communications, to ensure alignment on advocacy efforts.
  6. Monitor and track legislation and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
  7. Prepare briefing materials for company executives and government officials.
  8. Participate in conference calls and meetings with industry associations and coalitions.
  9. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and industry partners.
  10. Provide support to the Government Relations team in day-to-day tasks and projects.
  11. Attend and assist in planning company-sponsored events and fundraisers.
  12. Stay up-to-date on industry news and trends related to government relations and public policy.
  13. Uphold the company's values and reputation while representing the company in interactions with government officials and industry partners.
