- Develop and implement security operations strategy for the organization.
- Lead and manage a team of security professionals to ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, and partners.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the security operations center and incident response team.
- Monitor and analyze security events and threats to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threat landscape.
- Communicate security-related updates and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of security awareness and promote best practices across the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to the organization in responding to security incidents.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors and partners.
- Develop and maintain security metrics and reporting to track and measure the effectiveness of security operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve incident response procedures and workflows.
- Train and mentor security team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Extensive Experience In Security Operations: A Senior Manager In This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Security Operations, With A Strong Background In Detection And Response. They Should Be Well-Versed In Security Frameworks And Best Practices, And Have A Proven Track Record Of Managing Security Incidents And Investigations.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills: This Position Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Security Analysts And Engineers, As Well As Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Be Able To Motivate And Mentor Team Members, And Have Experience In Budget Planning And Resource Allocation.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Threat Detection And Response Tools: The Senior Manager Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Various Security Tools And Technologies, Including Siem, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, And Threat Intelligence Platforms. They Should Also Be Able To Evaluate And Implement New Tools To Enhance The Organization's Detection And Response Capabilities.
Experience In Incident Response And Crisis Management: A Critical Aspect Of This Role Is The Ability To Effectively Respond To Security Incidents And Manage Crisis Situations. The Senior Manager Should Have Experience In Developing And Implementing Incident Response Plans, Conducting Post-Incident Reviews, And Communicating With Stakeholders During A Crisis.
Industry Certifications: Trane Technologies Values Certifications As A Measure Of Expertise And Commitment To The Security Field. Candidates For This Role Should Possess Relevant Industry Certifications, Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Giac, To Demonstrate Their Knowledge And Skills In Security Operations, Detection, And Response.
