- Develop and implement cost-effective control solutions for clients using HVAC systems and controls.
- Analyze project requirements and create accurate cost estimates for control systems.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to understand project scope and provide technical expertise.
- Conduct site visits and gather necessary information to accurately assess project needs.
- Design and recommend control strategies to optimize building performance and energy efficiency.
- Create detailed proposals and bids for clients, including cost breakdowns and timelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and address any concerns or questions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in HVAC controls technology.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
- Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for control systems during installation and commissioning.
- Collaborate with project management and field teams to ensure successful implementation of control solutions.
- Conduct training sessions for clients on the operation and maintenance of control systems.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects and proposals.
Knowledge And Experience With Hvac Controls Systems: A Hvac Controls Estimator At Trane Technologies Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Different Types Of Hvac Controls Systems, Including Direct Digital Controls (Ddc), Building Automation Systems (Bas), And Energy Management Systems (Ems).
Proficiency In Estimating Software: The Ability To Accurately Estimate And Bid On Projects Is Essential For A Hvac Controls Estimator. Candidates Should Be Familiar With Industry-Standard Estimating Software, Such As Accubid Or Trimble.
Strong Technical And Analytical Skills: A Successful Hvac Controls Estimator Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Able To Read And Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, And Specifications. They Should Also Have Excellent Analytical Skills To Identify Potential Issues And Provide Solutions.
Communication And Relationship-Building Skills: As A Key Interface Between Customers And Internal Teams, A Hvac Controls Estimator Should Have Excellent Communication And Relationship-Building Skills. This Includes The Ability To Effectively Present Proposals And Negotiate Contracts With Clients.
