- Monitor and maintain the quality of Trane Technologies' products and services in the field.
- Work closely with customers and field technicians to identify and resolve any quality issues.
- Conduct regular field audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and product performance.
- Investigate and analyze product failures and customer complaints to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to field technicians on quality-related matters.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality issues and resolutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to quality control.
- Communicate regularly with management and other stakeholders on quality metrics and performance.
- Participate in new product development and testing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Train and mentor new field quality engineers to ensure consistency in quality processes.
- Travel to various locations to conduct on-site inspections and provide support as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve product quality, customer satisfaction, and overall efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering: A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles Is Essential For A Field Quality Engineer As They Will Be Responsible For Troubleshooting And Solving Complex Technical Issues In The Field.
Experience In Quality Assurance: Candidates Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Quality Assurance Role, Preferably In The Hvac Industry. This Experience Will Ensure They Have A Thorough Understanding Of Quality Control Processes And Procedures.
Knowledge Of Hvac Systems: A Deep Understanding Of Hvac Systems, Components, And Their Functions Is Necessary For A Field Quality Engineer. This Knowledge Will Help Them Identify And Resolve Quality Issues In The Field.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Field Quality Engineers Must Be Able To Analyze Data, Identify Trends, And Develop Solutions To Improve Product Quality. They Should Also Be Able To Think Critically And Troubleshoot Issues Efficiently.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Field Quality Engineer, Effective Communication Is Crucial As They Will Be Interacting With Cross-Functional Teams, Customers, And Suppliers. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Necessary For Documenting And Reporting On Quality Issues.
