- Perform routine and emergency service and maintenance on HVAC control systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC control systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software components.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions to their HVAC control system issues.
- Install, program, and commission new HVAC control systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of service calls and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of service work, including parts used, labor hours, and equipment readings.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and new technologies to provide the best service possible.
- Respond to service calls in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency and client needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while on job sites.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Train and mentor new or junior technicians on HVAC control system service and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs for clients' HVAC control systems.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including timekeeping, expense reporting, and inventory management.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures for more efficient and effective service delivery.
Technical Knowledge And Experience: A Controls Service Technician At Trane Technologies Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Hvac Systems, Building Automation Systems, And Control Systems. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Various Control Systems, Such As Trane Tracer, Johnson Controls, And Honeywell.
Troubleshooting Skills: The Ability To Troubleshoot And Diagnose Issues With Hvac And Control Systems Is A Crucial Qualification For This Role. A Controls Service Technician Should Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Technical Problems To Ensure The Efficient Operation Of Equipment.
Electrical And Mechanical Knowledge: This Role Requires An Understanding Of Both Electrical And Mechanical Systems. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience With Electrical Wiring, Controls Programming, And Mechanical Systems To Effectively Service And Maintain Hvac Equipment.
