Specialist, Leave of Absence

We are looking for a Leave of Absence Specialist who will be responsible for administering and managing all types of leaves of absence in accordance with company policies and government regulations. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills who can work effectively with both internal and external customers.The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience in a leave of absence role. In addition, this individual must have a comprehensive knowledge of relevant applicable governmental regulations and an understanding of the impact of leaves on company operations. The Leave of Absence Specialist must also be able to communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner. Furthermore, this position requires extremely strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Administer and manage all types of leaves of absence in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
2. Develop and implement leave of absence policies in line with applicable governmental regulations.
3. Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on matters related to leaves of absence.
4. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing leaves of absence.
5. Monitor and track leaves of absence in order to ensure leave eligibility and return to work requirements are met.
6. Analyze leave of absence data and trends in order to recommend process and policy improvements.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leaves of absence.
8. Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations related to leaves of absence.
9. Monitor and audit leave of absence complaints and ensure timely resolution.
10. Respond to employees and managers regarding leave of absence inquiries.
11. Participate in the development and delivery of leave of absence training for managers and employees.
