Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our team at Tractor Supply Company. This individual will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring the store runs efficiently, and leading a team of associates. The successful candidate will have a passion for helping people and understand the importance of providing a high-level of customer service.To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with prior retail and/or management experience, strong problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. The ideal candidate should also be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate duties to the appropriate associates. An understanding of financial and inventory management is also essential. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  2. Train and motivate associates to ensure they are knowledgeable and well-prepared to assist customers.
  3. Monitor and maintain store operations, ensuring all systems and processes are running effectively.
  4. Develop strategies to improve customer service, store efficiency, and sales.
  5. Assist in creating work schedules and delegating tasks to associates.
  6. Maintain inventory levels and ensure accurate record keeping of inventory and sales.
  7. Monitor store financials and ensure compliance with company policies.
  8. Handle customer and associate complaints and resolve disputes.
  9. Develop and implement promotional activities to drive sales.
  10. Ensure store is maintained in a clean and organized manner.
