
Human Resources Intern
Assists with administrative tasks in order to gain exposure to various areas of Human Resources, including Benefits, Compensation, Recruitment and Training. Assists with the coordination of corporate events. Coordinates random drug testing for 1% of employee base on a monthly basis. Maintains and administers both the internal and external departmental filing systems. Updates employee files (electronic and hard copy) to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses. Records employee information such as personal data, compensation, and benefits into HRIS systems. Responds to employment verification requests. Examines employee files and HRIS data to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
At least a Junior at an accredited college or university.
Three months to six months of office related experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
