Job Description

The individual in this role will be a key resource for cross-functional teams providing holistic and proactive perspectives and recommendations for the implementation or revision of key controls when process changes or control gaps are identified. Identify areas for improvement, simplification, and automation of controls for assigned process area(s). Drive accurate and timely completion of SOX and FDICIA processes and control documentation efforts for assigned process area(s). Assess internal control deficiencies to ensure alignment with management and drive remediation, if required. Provide assistance to internal and external auditors during the planning and annual testing of SOX and FDICIA controls. Evaluate and participate during IT system implementation and/or change management projects to ensure adequate internal controls, in assigned area(s).

Job Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), audit practices, accounting policies

  • Progressive accounting and/or audit experience.

  • Big 4 or large, the regional public accounting firm.

  • Financial Services or banking industry experience.

  • Prior SOX or FDICIA experience.
