Job Description

As an Environmental Health and Safety Officer at Toyota, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and the preservation of the environment.   1. Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  2. Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and make necessary updates to safety protocols.
  3. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Collaborate with department managers to create and deliver safety training programs for all employees.
  5. Investigate and report on any accidents or incidents that occur in the workplace and make recommendations for preventative measures.
  6. Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with relevant regulations.
  7. Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address potential environmental and safety hazards.
  8. Monitor and track safety data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  9. Serve as a liaison with relevant government agencies and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
  10. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
  11. Conduct research and make recommendations for ways to improve sustainability and reduce the company's environmental footprint.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement environmental initiatives and projects.
  13. Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to educate and promote safety and environmental awareness.
  14. Stay informed on new and emerging environmental health and safety trends and technologies.
  15. Act as a role model for safe and environmentally responsible behavior.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or Related Field.

  • Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Designation.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Experience In Environmental Health And Safety Management, Preferably In The Automotive Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Regulations And Safety Standards.

  • Strong Communication, Organizational, And Problem-Solving Skills.
