- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of merchandise.
- Lead a team of operations staff and supervisors, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze operational processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as inventory management, to coordinate and prioritize daily tasks and workload.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any discrepancies or issues to relevant teams.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and efficiency in inventory management.
- Train and develop employees on proper procedures and techniques to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
- Identify and address any staffing needs, including recruiting, hiring, and training new employees as necessary.
- Manage and maintain the budget for the operations department, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations.
- Communicate and collaborate with upper management to provide updates on departmental performance and make recommendations for improvement.
