1. Oversee the daily operations of the designated department, including sales, inventory management, and customer service.
2. Lead, coach, and motivate a team of associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
3. Train new associates on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards.
4. Monitor and analyze department sales and performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to drive sales and increase profitability.
5. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
6. Create and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic.
7. Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and other store departments to ensure timely and accurate product flow.
8. Assist in the hiring, training, and development of new associates.
9. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to associates to improve performance.
10. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
11. Maintain visual merchandising standards for the department to ensure a visually appealing and organized sales floor.
12. Collaborate with other department supervisors and store management to achieve overall store goals and objectives.
13. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for growth.
14. Uphold a high level of integrity and professionalism while representing the company and its values.
15. Continuously strive to enhance the customer shopping experience and drive customer loyalty.
