As the Retail Department Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our retail department and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service.   1. Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times by leading and training retail staff.
  2. Oversee the daily operations of the retail department, including managing inventory levels and restocking merchandise.
  3. Create and maintain an organized and visually appealing store environment.
  4. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve overall customer satisfaction.
  5. Train and supervise retail staff on company policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
  6. Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate inventory and pricing.
  7. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  8. Coordinate and schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and excellent customer service.
  9. Handle any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Assist with merchandising and product displays to attract and engage customers.
  11. Ensure all safety and security protocols are followed to protect company assets and maintain a safe shopping environment.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the retail department.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and efficiency within the department.
  14. Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to make informed business decisions.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, loss prevention, inventory management, and cash handling.

  • Excellent Organizational Skills - A Retail Department Coordinator At Tjx Companies Should Be Able To Effectively Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Responsibilities In A Fast-Paced Retail Environment.

  • Strong Leadership Abilities - The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Supervising And Training Retail Staff, As Well As The Ability To Motivate And Mentor Team Members.

  • Knowledge Of Retail Operations - A Thorough Understanding Of Retail Operations, Including Inventory Management, Merchandising, And Customer Service, Is Crucial For Success In This Role.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills - As A Liaison Between Upper Management And Store Staff, A Retail Department Coordinator Must Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Build Strong Relationships With Team Members.

  • Retail Experience - Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Supervisory Role, Is Highly Desirable For This Position. Knowledge Of The Tjx Companies' Retail Practices And Procedures Is Also A Plus.
