  1. Maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular counts and reconciliations.
  2. Monitor and track merchandise movements, including receiving, transfers, and returns.
  3. Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  4. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory issues.
  5. Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper handling and storage of merchandise.
  7. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
  8. Train and mentor new Merchandise Control team members.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to facilitate efficient inventory management.
  10. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
  11. Monitor and report on inventory trends and make recommendations for inventory management strategies.
  12. Work closely with buying and planning teams to ensure accurate forecasting and ordering of merchandise.
  13. Assist in preparing and conducting physical inventory counts.
  14. Handle merchandise returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
  15. Keep up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in inventory control.
