  1. Monitor and identify potential areas of loss within the store, including theft, fraud, and safety hazards.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  3. Utilize CCTV and other surveillance equipment to monitor and investigate suspicious activity.
  4. Collaborate with store management and associates to develop and implement strategies to prevent loss and improve overall security.
  5. Train and educate associates on loss prevention techniques and procedures.
  6. Respond to and resolve any security or safety incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security and safety incidents.
  8. Communicate effectively with law enforcement and other external partners as needed.
  9. Conduct investigations into suspected internal and external theft or fraud.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in loss prevention and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Assist with the implementation of loss prevention initiatives and programs throughout the company.
  12. Conduct background checks and screenings on potential new hires.
  13. Ensure all safety equipment and systems are functioning properly and report any issues to appropriate parties.
  14. Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and Operations, to develop and maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  15. Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Loss Prevention Techniques, Including Cctv Monitoring, Inventory Control, And Conducting Internal Investigations.

  • Experience In Retail Security: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Retail Security, Preferably In A Similar Role. This Includes Experience In Identifying And Preventing Theft, Fraud, And Other Security Risks Within A Retail Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Loss Prevention Specialist Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Employees, Customers, And Law Enforcement Personnel. This Requires Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills And The Ability To Build Positive Relationships.

  • Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills: A Successful Candidate Should Be Detail-Oriented And Have Strong Analytical Skills. This Is Important For Identifying Patterns, Analyzing Data, And Detecting Potential Security Threats.

  • Knowledge Of Laws And Regulations: A Loss Prevention Specialist Must Be Familiar With Laws And Regulations Related To Loss Prevention, Privacy, And Security. This Includes Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws, As Well As Company Policies And Procedures.
