  1. Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and procedures to protect company assets and reduce risk.
  2. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability and make recommendations for improvement.
  3. Lead a team of loss prevention associates, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the highest level of performance and productivity.
  4. Collaborate with store management and other key stakeholders to create a culture of awareness and compliance with loss prevention protocols.
  5. Investigate and resolve incidents of theft, fraud, and other security breaches, working closely with law enforcement as needed.
  6. Utilize surveillance systems and other technology to monitor and track inventory, identify suspicious activity, and prevent loss.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement and security vendors, to enhance the company's loss prevention efforts.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in loss prevention techniques to continuously improve the company's security measures.
  9. Train and educate store associates on loss prevention policies, procedures, and best practices to promote a safe and secure work environment.
  10. Prepare and present reports to upper management on loss prevention metrics, trends, and initiatives.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information related to loss prevention investigations.
  12. Proactively identify and address potential safety hazards or security risks in stores or distribution centers.
  13. Collaborate with other departments, such as human resources and legal, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to loss prevention.
  14. Handle escalated customer complaints or concerns related to loss prevention issues in a professional and timely manner.
  15. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among the loss prevention team.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Loss Prevention: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Environment, Is Required For This Position. This Includes Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices, Investigative Techniques, And Security Systems.

  • Leadership Skills: A Successful Loss Prevention Manager Must Have Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Loss Prevention Associates. They Should Also Possess Excellent Communication And Conflict Resolution Skills.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Loss Prevention Manager Must Have The Ability To Analyze Data And Identify Trends In Order To Develop Strategies To Prevent Losses. They Should Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Address Any Gaps In Security Or Loss Prevention Processes.

  • Knowledge Of Legal And Regulatory Requirements: The Loss Prevention Manager Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Loss Prevention, As Well As Company Policies And Procedures. This Includes Knowledge Of Surveillance Laws, Use Of Force Policies, And Privacy Laws.

  • Attention To Detail: The Role Of A Loss Prevention Manager Involves Extensive Observation And Attention To Detail. They Must Be Able To Identify And Document Suspicious Behavior, Review Security Footage, And Accurately Report Incidents. Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Accurately Identifying And Preventing Losses.
