- Monitor and patrol store premises to detect and prevent theft, fraud, and other suspicious activity.
- Conduct thorough investigations of any suspected theft or fraudulent activity.
- Collaborate with store management and law enforcement to resolve any incidents of theft or fraud.
- Utilize surveillance cameras and other loss prevention tools to monitor and identify potential security threats.
- Ensure all store policies and procedures related to loss prevention are being followed by employees and customers.
- Train and educate store employees on loss prevention techniques and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all incidents and investigations.
- Conduct regular audits of store inventory to identify any discrepancies or potential shrinkage.
- Identify and analyze patterns of theft or fraud to develop strategies for prevention.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in loss prevention technology.
- Communicate effectively with customers and employees to promote a safe and secure shopping environment.
- Act as a proactive problem-solver, taking necessary actions to prevent loss and minimize risk.
- Remain vigilant and alert to potential security threats at all times.

Experience In Retail Security: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Retail Security, Preferably In A Store Setting. This Includes Experience With Cctv Surveillance, Alarm Systems, And Conducting Internal Investigations.
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: Applicants Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques, Such As Identifying And Preventing Theft, Fraud, And Other Security Risks. They Should Also Have Experience With Conducting Store Audits And Implementing Security Policies And Procedures.
Strong Analytical And Investigative Skills: A Successful Loss Prevention Detective Should Possess Strong Analytical And Investigative Skills To Effectively Identify And Resolve Security Issues. This Includes The Ability To Review Surveillance Footage, Analyze Data, And Conduct Interviews With Suspects And Witnesses.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For A Loss Prevention Detective. They Must Be Able To Work With Store Employees And Managers To Implement Security Measures, As Well As Communicate With Law Enforcement And Other External Partners.
