  1. Monitor and patrol the store to prevent theft and fraudulent activities.
  2. Use surveillance equipment and conduct regular audits to identify potential risks and security breaches.
  3. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies and procedures.
  4. Conduct thorough investigations of suspicious activities or incidents and provide detailed reports to management.
  5. Communicate effectively with customers and employees to educate them on loss prevention measures and promote a safe shopping environment.
  6. Assist in training and mentoring new loss prevention team members.
  7. Work closely with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments in loss prevention techniques.
  9. Maintain accurate records of all incidents, investigations, and training sessions.
  10. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as local and federal laws and regulations.
  11. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  12. Remain vigilant and attentive at all times to ensure the safety and security of the store.
  13. Act as a role model for ethical and responsible behavior within the company.
  14. Proactively identify and address potential safety hazards and security risks.
  15. Participate in store meetings and provide updates on loss prevention activities and successes.
  16. Develop and maintain positive relationships with store management, employees, and customers.
  17. Stay calm and professional in high-stress situations and effectively handle confrontational or difficult individuals.
  18. Continuously evaluate and improve loss prevention procedures and make recommendations for enhancements.
  19. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  20. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Loss Prevention Manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Experience In Loss Prevention Or Security: A Successful Candidate For A Loss Prevention Detective Position At Tjx Companies Should Have Previous Experience In A Related Field, Such As Retail Loss Prevention, Security, Or Law Enforcement. This Experience Will Demonstrate A Strong Understanding Of Security Procedures And Techniques.

  • Knowledge Of Theft Prevention And Detection Techniques: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Common Theft Prevention And Detection Techniques, As Well As Experience Using Surveillance Equipment And Software. This Knowledge Will Be Essential In Identifying And Preventing Potential Theft At Tjx Companies.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of A Loss Prevention Detective Requires Regular Interaction With Store Associates, Customers, And Law Enforcement. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Effectively Handling Difficult Situations And Building Relationships With Key Stakeholders.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Independently: Loss Prevention Detectives Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Potential Security Risks Or Fraudulent Activities.
