- Monitor and patrol assigned areas within the store to identify and prevent potential theft and fraud.
- Conduct thorough investigations of suspicious activity, including reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.
- Collaborate with store management and law enforcement to resolve theft and fraud cases.
- Utilize company policies and procedures to effectively handle and document incidents.
- Monitor and maintain store inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent losses.
- Identify and report any security vulnerabilities or risks within the store.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with any security concerns or issues.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and techniques for preventing theft and fraud.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to enhance knowledge and skills related to loss prevention.
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure the protection of customers, employees, and merchandise.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to share information and coordinate efforts.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Conduct periodic audits and inspections to identify any potential security breaches.

- Assist in the development and implementation of new loss prevention strategies and initiatives.
Previous Experience In Loss Prevention: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Experience In A Loss Prevention Role, Preferably In A Retail Environment. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Theft Prevention Techniques, Cctv Monitoring, And Handling Of Dishonest Employees.
Strong Observational Skills: A Successful Loss Prevention Detective Must Have Excellent Observational Skills To Identify Suspicious Behavior And Potential Theft In The Store. This Includes The Ability To Pay Attention To Details And Analyze Patterns Of Behavior.
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Best Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of Inventory Control, Surveillance Methods, And Apprehension Procedures.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: The Retail Environment Can Be Fast-Paced And Unpredictable, So Candidates Must Be Able To Thrive In This Type Of Setting. This Includes The Ability To Remain Calm Under Pressure And Make Quick Decisions When Necessary.
