- Monitor Store for Suspicious Activity: The Loss Prevention Detective will be responsible for constantly monitoring the store for any suspicious or unusual activity that could indicate potential theft or other safety concerns.
- Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters: The main responsibility of the Loss Prevention Detective will be to identify and apprehend shoplifters using surveillance equipment, observation, and other investigative techniques.
- Conduct Investigations: The detective will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations of any suspected theft or fraudulent activity, including reviewing footage, interviewing witnesses, and gathering evidence.
- Maintain Safety and Security Protocols: The detective will be responsible for enforcing safety and security protocols within the store, including monitoring employee and customer behavior, conducting bag checks, and responding to any safety concerns.
- Collaborate with Store Management: The detective will work closely with store management to develop and implement strategies for preventing theft and maintaining a safe shopping environment.
- Provide Training and Education: The detective will be responsible for training store employees on theft prevention techniques and safety protocols, as well as providing ongoing education and updates on new security measures.
- Document and Report Incidents: The detective will be responsible for accurately documenting all incidents of theft, fraud, and other safety concerns, as well as reporting them to the appropriate authorities and management.

Experience In Loss Prevention: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Environment. This Includes Knowledge Of Surveillance Techniques, Investigation Methods, And Understanding Of Store Operations.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Loss Prevention Detective, Effective Communication Is Key. Candidates Should Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Interact With People At All Levels Within The Organization.
Knowledge Of Security Systems: The Candidate Should Be Familiar With Security Systems Such As Cctv, Alarm Systems, And Electronic Article Surveillance (Eas). Experience In Monitoring And Analyzing Security Footage Is Also Preferred.
Attention To Detail: A Successful Loss Prevention Detective Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Spot Suspicious Behavior Or Potential Security Threats. Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Conducting Investigations And Identifying Patterns Of Theft Or Fraud.
