  1. Monitor and patrol the store premises to identify and prevent any potential theft or fraudulent activity.
  2. Utilize various surveillance techniques, such as CCTV and undercover operations, to gather evidence and identify suspicious behavior.
  3. Conduct thorough investigations into any reported incidents of theft or fraud, including interviewing witnesses and reviewing security footage.
  4. Collaborate with store management and law enforcement agencies to report and resolve any theft or fraud cases.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to prevent theft and fraud, including training and educating store employees on proper security measures.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all incidents and investigations.
  7. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  8. Stay updated on current trends and techniques in theft and fraud prevention.
  9. Communicate effectively with customers and handle any potential confrontations in a professional and calm manner.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for both customers and employees.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Loss Prevention Detective At Tjx Companies Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Loss Prevention Techniques, Such As Cctv Surveillance, Inventory Control, And Employee Training, To Prevent And Detect Theft.

  • Experience In Retail Security: Candidates For This Role Should Have Prior Experience In Retail Security, Preferably In A Similar Role As A Loss Prevention Detective. This Experience Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle Situations Related To Theft And Their Familiarity With Retail Environments.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Loss Prevention Detectives Must Be Able To Analyze Data And Detect Patterns To Identify Potential Theft And Fraud. They Should Have Strong Analytical Skills To Review Transactional Data, Cctv Footage, And Other Evidence To Identify Suspicious Activities.

  • Attention To Detail: Due To The Nature Of The Job, A Loss Prevention Detective Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail. They Should Be Able To Notice Small Discrepancies In Inventory, Cash Handling, And Customer Behavior That Could Indicate Potential Theft.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Successful Loss Prevention Detective Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Should Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Various Stakeholders, Such As Store Managers, Employees, And Law Enforcement, To Investigate And Resolve Theft Incidents. They Should Also Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations And De-Escalate Conflicts With Tact And Professionalism.
