- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to provide exceptional customer service while also deterring theft and other criminal activities.
- Conduct surveillance and investigations to identify and apprehend shoplifters and other individuals engaging in illegal activities.
- Utilize CCTV cameras and other security equipment to monitor store activity and identify any suspicious behavior.
- Collaborate with store management and other team members to develop and implement loss prevention strategies and procedures.
- Participate in store audits to identify any areas of vulnerability and make recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with customers, store management, and law enforcement regarding any incidents or potential security threats.
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities.
- Stay up-to-date on current security and safety protocols and procedures to ensure the protection of the store and its customers.
- Provide training and support to other team members on loss prevention strategies and procedures.
- Act as a role model for customer service excellence and professional behavior at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the loss prevention office and surveillance room.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Continuously monitor and assess security protocols to identify and address any potential weaknesses or areas for improvement.
- Attend and participate in store meetings and training sessions related to loss prevention and customer service.
