- Develop and implement global trade compliance strategies in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of trade compliance professionals, providing direction, guidance, and support.
- Stay up-to-date on international trade regulations and industry trends, and proactively identify potential compliance risks and opportunities.
- Oversee the execution of import and export compliance processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure trade compliance requirements are integrated into business processes.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of trade compliance programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as government agencies and industry organizations, to stay informed on trade compliance developments and best practices.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on trade compliance regulations and requirements.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate trade compliance updates and initiatives to senior leadership.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and streamline trade compliance operations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on trade compliance matters and provide guidance and support to internal teams.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation of all trade compliance activities.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries and requests from government agencies relating to trade compliance.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve any trade compliance issues or incidents.
- Represent the company in trade compliance audits and investigations.
- Stay informed on global trade trends and developments and provide strategic recommendations for adapting to changing regulations and market conditions.
- Foster a culture of compliance within the organization and promote ethical business practices.
- Handle any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by senior leadership.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Trade Compliance Operations, Preferably Within The Retail Industry.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Trade Compliance Regulations, Including But Not Limited To Import/Export Laws, Customs Regulations, And International Trade Agreements.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team, With The Ability To Provide Guidance And Direction To Ensure Compliance With Trade Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners.
