Tax Director

The Tax Director at Tishman Speyer will lead the strategic planning and analysis of the organization’s financial structures and operations. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of analytical, technical, and managerial skills. They should be able to develop and implement innovative tax strategies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and maximize tax savings. The Tax Director must have the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both internal and external audiences. We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for problem-solving. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field and at least 8 years of experience in a tax-related role. CPA or EA certification is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1.Develop and implement strategic tax plans and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and maximize tax savings. 2.Analyze and interpret financial data, assess current tax strategies, and make recommendations for improvement. 3.Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including filing and remitting taxes in a timely manner. 4.Maintain close relationships with external advisors and auditors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. 5.Lead the preparation of tax returns and other financial documents. 6.Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations. 7.Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and provide guidance and support to team members on the implications of such changes. 8.Analyze complex financial structures to identify tax opportunities and potential risks. 9.Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on tax-related matters. 10.Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax information.
