Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Textile Researcher to join our Thom Browne team. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for researching the latest textile developments and trends, and using them to inform our design decisions.The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the textile industry, in addition to a passion for experimentation and collaboration. They should have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be comfortable working independently and within a team. A degree in Textile Design or a related field is preferred, and experience in the fashion industry is a plus.If you are eager to join a creative and forward-thinking team, and have the drive and skills to help us make informed decisions, then we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Research the latest textile developments and trends, and use them to inform design decisions.
  2. Collaborate with the Creative Director and the Thom Browne team to identify new opportunities for textile experimentation.
  3. Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
  4. Work independently and within a team to ensure design decisions are informed and efficient.
  5. Utilize excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner.
  6. Attend textile-related events, conferences, and seminars to stay abreast of industry changes.
  7. Monitor the performance of textiles used in production, and provide feedback to the Creative Director.
  8. Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure that fabrics meet standards and regulations.
