Job Description

This is a player-coach role, where you will actively seek out and engage customer prospects, specifically looking to expand and diversify our client base further beyond the news media market. You will oversee a small sales team and partner with the head of the department to optimize workflow, and provide complete and appropriate solutions to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability. Manage and optimize the activities of the sales team. Partner with sales team members to manage, renew and upsell existing clients, ensuring clients' needs are being met. Oversee prospecting, perform in-person (or virtual) presentations, help facilitate RFP’s, and close accounts. Deliver product feedback to operations leaders to ensure the voice of the customer is recognized. Work with head of the department on pricing, packaging and promotion.

Job Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience running sales teams

  • Direct experience with content licensing or syndication of both text and multimedia content

  • Previous experience successfully driving revenue through prospecting, discovery, pitching, closing and renewing business
