
Editor, Emerging News Product
The Washington Post is seeking a collaborative and innovative editor to join the Emerging News Products team, which is responsible for incubating products and consulting with teams across the newsroom and business side on new content areas and platform investments. We want a journalist who is equally passionate about developing new products and bolstering our current offerings. A knack for identifying emerging technologies and trends and the drive to experiment early and often are necessary, as are the desire to work closely with others and the willingness to take responsible risks and advocate for new ideas. We are seeking a versatile journalist who can source, write, assign and edit for a wide variety of experiments and assignments in a fast-paced environment.
2+ years of related experience
Track record of successfully developing and launching editorial products
Demonstrated ability to build editorial strategies, establish best practices and implement streamlined workflows is necessary.
