We are currently seeking a talented and dynamic WPVI Producer to join our team at WPVI, our ABC-affiliated television station in Philadelphia. As a producer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality and engaging content to our viewers.   1. Develop and produce high-quality news and entertainment programs for WPVI, ensuring they align with the vision and values of The Walt Disney Company.
  2. Collaborate with the news team to generate story ideas, pitch segments, and review scripts to ensure accuracy and quality.
  3. Coordinate and manage all aspects of production, including scheduling, budgeting, and logistics.
  4. Work closely with on-air talent, directors, and technical crew to ensure a smooth and engaging on-air presentation.
  5. Continuously monitor news and entertainment trends, and incorporate them into programming to keep content fresh and relevant.
  6. Ensure that all content meets legal and ethical standards, and complies with company policies and guidelines.
  7. Manage production resources, including equipment, props, and sets, to ensure they are utilized effectively and efficiently.
  8. Oversee post-production processes, including editing and packaging of segments, to meet tight deadlines.
  9. Maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as advertisers and sponsors, to generate revenue opportunities and support the station's goals.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and implement innovative production techniques to enhance the viewer experience.
  11. Mentor and provide guidance to junior production staff, helping them develop their skills and reach their full potential.
  12. Represent WPVI and The Walt Disney Company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or Related Field.

  • Strong Leadership And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Team And Multiple Projects Simultaneously.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Television News Production, With A Focus On Live Programming And Breaking News.

  • Proficiency In Video Editing Software, Such As Avid Or Final Cut Pro, As Well As Graphics Creation Tools.

  • Knowledge Of The Philadelphia Market And Its News Landscape, As Well As An Understanding Of Disney's Brand And Values.
