Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain special effects equipment, including but not limited to pyrotechnics, animatronics, and mechanical rigs.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to plan and execute special effects sequences that align with the creative vision of each project.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve any technical issues that may arise during production.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques in special effects and make recommendations for their implementation on projects.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when handling and operating special effects equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and track inventory of special effects materials and supplies.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, such as art, camera, and lighting, to ensure seamless integration of special effects into the overall production.
- Follow budgets and timelines for each project, and make adjustments as needed to stay within parameters.
- Train and mentor junior team members on special effects techniques and equipment operation.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and quality of special effects work.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and acquire necessary materials for special effects.
- Attend production meetings and provide input and expertise on special effects plans and execution.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing The Walt Disney Company and its values.

Knowledge Of Special Effects Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Special Effects Techniques Such As Cgi, Compositing, Motion Graphics, And 3D Animation.
Experience With Industry Software: Proficiency In Industry-Standard Software Such As Adobe After Effects, Nuke, Maya, Or Houdini Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Use These Tools Effectively To Create High-Quality Special Effects.
Attention To Detail: As A Technicien(Ne) Opérateur(Trice) Effets Spéciaux, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Creating Visual Effects That Seamlessly Blend Into The Overall Production. Therefore, Attention To Detail And The Ability To Work With Precision Is Crucial.
